Educational Programme: Psychoanalysis and Psychoanalytic Business Consulting (Master)

Year of Graduation: 2017

The given research is based on studying the methodological foundations of psychoanalytic and eco-psychological approaches to understanding sustainable development and reveals their validity. The aim of the work was to identify the feasibility of using these approaches in ensuring sustainable development and it has been achieved. Furthermore, through the theoretical research the model for formation of the ecological consciousness of an individual was also worked out. Detailed description of the official documents, theories, directions, opinions of the authors and other loads of information were not the task of the given study: their choice is subjective and does not at all detract from the value of others, not included into the study. The topic was chosen due to current importance of the implementation in Russia of the process called "sustainable development". The process covers all aspects of social and economic life and the notion of "sustainable development" is the key idea introduced in the Agenda 21 (convention adopted by the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development in Rio de Janeiro on June 3-14, 1992). The document, responding to the tide of time, passes under the flag of ecology and development. In conjunction with the environmental protection, the objectives and means for achieving them are set out. Same time, much attention is paid to education, training, informational exchange, international cooperation, organizational and legal mechanisms, science and technology transfer. The provisions and conclusions of this Master's Dissertation may be of interest to researchers in the field of environmental psychology and may possibly serve as a basis for development of both the environmental and the educational programs. Keywords: psychoanalysis, ecological psychology, sustainable development, ecological consciousness
