Carbon Nanotubes - a Promising Basis for New Electronics

The obvious benefit of practical application of terahertz radiation in medicine, security systems, astrophysics, chemistry and many other fields of human activity has created a natural demand for research and development of this field of science, since the production of terahertz components still has high complexity and labor-intensive process, and because of this, and high production costs. Currently, Tera-ray detectors embedded carbon nanotubes, which have, unfortunately, low reproducibility and relatively long production process that postpones the possibility of their widespread use for a period of eliminating the problems described above. Earlier detection devices that use nanotube typically include a number of individual nanotubes randomly dispersed on the surface of a preformed electrical contacts or electrical contacts, superimposed on the dispersed nanotubes. Both methods are fully functional and are very good. However, the methods that are used today, it is impossible to conduct high-precision measurements, and devices that rely on them do not have that degree of sensitivity is possible when implementing nanotubes. Obviously, the use of carbon nanotubes will allow to solve a number of problems associated with a lack of precision, the need to reduce the size of devices, and other important factors.
