Functioning of Business Associations in an Adverse Institutional Environment

The topic of this study is “Functioning of Business Associations in an Adverse Institutional Environment” The main goal of the research is the detection of the particularity of business associations’ functioning in a detrimental institutional environment. To achieve this goal the researcher uses the methods of case study and expert interviewing to analyze and compare a number of different business unions and their regional context. The basis for the selection and comparison of the cases is the set of criteria that was developed during the analysis of theoretical background of the topic. As the result of the study a number of features, that are inherent to business-associations operating in disadvantageous institutional context, was highlighted. The study complements the knowledge on the research object and contains the recommendations for the future works.
