The Role of Science in the Strategy of the Innovative Development of the Russian Federation until 2020

In this paper, the place and role of science in state innovation policy were studied. The goals, tasks and stages, as well as state expenditures in the field of science in the Strategy for Innovative Development of the Russian Federation until 2020 are analyzed. Based on the analysis, an assessment of the implementation of key activities and target indicators for 2011-2013 was carried out. In the Strategy for Innovative Development of the Russian Federation until 2020 in the direction of "Effective Science" and proposals are formulated to improve the effectiveness of the implementation of the strategic document.
