Sources of the Formation of Goodwill in Western Countries and Russia in the Companies of the Industrial Sector

This bachelor thesis is devoted to the problem of financing of the goodwill in the companies of the industrial sector of Russia and Western countries. A special emphasis is paid on the borrowed funds and own capital, as well as on the difference in the characteristics of doing business in different countries and in different sectors. Panel data analysis is chosen as the econometric methodology, and it turns out that the inclusion of legal characteristics of the country and of the sector do not improve our model statistically significantly. Аs a result, borrowed funds are more responsible for the formation of the goodwill than own capital is. The bigger the size of the company, the higher the goodwill on average.
