Legal Regulation of Women's Labour: International and National Aspects

The graduate paper is aimed at considering the legal regulation of women's labor at the international level, in the Russian Federation and abroad through the various aspects and developing proposals for improving the regulation of Russian legislation. The main objectives of the paper are: 1) studying of the activities of international organizations and their acts in the sphere of protecting women's rights, considering of the main stages in the development of women's labor rights; 2) analysis of the modern regulation of women's labor in Russia, highlighting the main development trends and underlying problems; 3) studying of the experience of foreign countries in the regulation of women's labor. The paper consists of an introduction, three chapters, ten paragraphs, conclusions and a bibliography. Chapter I examines the history of the development of the protection of women's labor rights, analyzes the main acts of the United Nations, the International Labor Organization and regional organizations. Chapter II is devoted to the regulation of women's labor in the Russian Federation. The subject of this chapter is the norms governing the conclusion and termination of the employment contract, working hours and rest time, women's labor protection. Chapter III pays attention to the legal regulation of the elimination of labor discrimination against women, working time and rest time in Sweden. Based on the analysis the following conclusions were carried out: 1. the four stages of the development of the regulation of women's labor rights were extracted. 2. the main problems and trends in the development of Russian legislation were identified. 3. the positive experience of regulation of women's work in Sweden for its further implementation in the Russian Federation was examined.
