Design of Slow-Wave System for Traveling-Wave Tube of Millimeter Band

Student: Belonenko Dmitry

Supervisor: Sergei A. Khritkin

Faculty: HSE Tikhonov Moscow Institute of Electronics and Mathematics (MIEM HSE)

Educational Programme: Infocommunication Technologies and Systems (Bachelor)

Final Grade: 8

Year of Graduation: 2017

In this project, models have been developed and numerical simulation of five promising variants of slow-wave systems with folded and serpentine waveguides intended for use as electrodynamic systems in traveling wave tubes of millimeter band has been carried out. A comparative analysis of the electrodynamic characteristics such as deceleration factor, the coupling resistance and the reflection coefficient of the investigated structures of periodic systems on the basis of folded and serpentine waveguides was performed.
