The procurement planning system does not have a universal methodology with the strength of the specificity of the characteristics of any business. The specifics of the oilfield service business directly affects the structure of the organization of the procurement process. In modern conditions of negative macroeconomic dynamics, oilfield service companies are forced to look for new ways to reduce procurement costs. The procurement planning system today should be flexible, point-based with new and more effective methods of interacting with suppliers and analyzing their activities
