Mobile Application for Multi-user Conference Video Streaming and Instant Text Messaging

The work is dedicated to the development of an open source library to help integrate video conferencing and text messaging functionality into iOS mobile applications. A comparative analysis was completed for several ways of organizing video conferences. As a result, WebRTC was selected as the data transfer technology, the process of video stream transmission using this technology and the process of connecting several users were also reviewed. Best practices of developing libraries for iOS applications have also been reviewed. Another task is to develop an application that shows the integration of the library under construction, which is also a fully functional application for making video calls and exchanging text messages. The paper contains 45 pages, 3 chapters, 11 illustrations, 1 table, 28 bibliography items, 5 appendices. Keywords: WebRTC, videoconferencing, iOS.
