Migrant needs to adapt to climate changes, new language and to a new culture when they move to a new country. There are many factors of migrant’s adaptation, which are studied by researchers of cross-cultural psychology. The aim of this work is to identify the relations between acculturation strategies and social capital and the adaptation of migrants. The objectives of the study were: • Conduct an analysis of Western and Russian studies on the adaptation of migrants. Identify the main factors of adaptation; • Analyze theoretical approaches to the study of acculturation strategies and social capital; • Develop a design for empirical research; • Assess the assumption of the relationship between acculturation strategies, social capital of migrants and their adaptation. It was confirmed that the higher the level of social capital, the better the migrant is adapted. An exception was the case when the migrant prefers the acculturation strategy of "assimilation". The bridging social capital had a positive connection with the acculturation strategies "integration" and "marginalization", as well as a negative connection with the acculturation strategy "separation". The bonding social capital was positively associated with the acculturation strategy of "separation" and the negative with the acculturation strategy of "assimilation"/ The more in-depth study should be conducted for a better understanding of the relationship between adaptation, two types of social capital and acculturation strategies on a larger sample, including not only migrants from Central Asia.
