In modern world, organizations, both in business and in the humanitarian sphere, have to look for the ways to improve their efficiency. As a result logistics has become a crucial factor for the competitiveness of commercial companies. Now it is getting more importance for humanitarian organizations as well. The purpose of the dissertation is to develop a system of measures to improve the logistics support of humanitarian operations on the basis of a comparative analysis of humanitarian and business logistics. Particular attention is paid to the possibility of attracting logistics providers (LP) for humanitarian operations. The analysis of literature sources and empirical data made it possible to identify the possibilities for logistics providers to participate in humanitarian supply chains and to develop a system of measures to improve the logistics support of humanitarian operations while using the capabilities of the LP. 4.
