This paper study modern problems of strategic economic partnership between Russia, China and Japan, as well as specific opportunities and limitations of their investment component, not only at the level of countries, but also individual regions(on the example of Nizhniy Novgorod region). The peculiarity of the study is determines by geopolitical aspects, problems and prospects of Russian-Chinese and Russian-Japanese relations which have a significant impact on the development of socio-economic and political processes in the world. At the same time, in the diploma work the interests of Russia, China and Japan are presented in the context of modern global and regional geopolitical shifts. The results of the study will help to substantiate the conclusion about the importance of partnership for the development of the Russian economy and its role in world politics. Moreover, the significance of the study is also determined by the possibility of using the results of the analysis of the investment climate in the Nizhny Novgorod region for a detailed description of the region's investment attractiveness for potential and existing partners, and, in addition, the possibility of using these results in developing investment development programs for the region.
