In this paper, we study the problem of estimating the demand for Internet gaming projects. The problem under consideration becomes especially actual in conditions of almost complete absence of reliable statistical information on financial and other indicators of Internet gaming projects in the open access. The purpose of this study is to assess the impact of various factors on demand for gaming Internet projects by analyzing data from a specially conducted survey and information about users of the digital content distribution service - Steam, which, at the time of writing, presents more than 10,000 programs, most of which - Game projects. Econometric models based on a large number of empirical data from different sources, the objects of which are the most popular projects from the Steam service, made it possible to identify the interrelation and influence of various factors characterizing the projects and their audience for the number of owners of these projects for two different time periods. The results of this study can be used in further research on the demand for Internet gaming projects, and may also be useful to development companies for applying the results of this study when analyzing the demand for their own projects.
