Production of Transmedia IT-Project: Release and Rebranding of Mobile Application "Walkerie" for Walking in Moscow

This work contains the research of transmedia IT-project based on release and rebranding of the mobile application for pedestrian walks throughout Moscow called “Walkerie”. Special attention in this research is paid to description of the IT-project specialties, mobile-app development aspects, explanation of the term “rebranding”, components and characteristics of transmedia projects and differences from multimedia and crossmedia projects. The author notes stages of “Walkerie” application and excursions development, as well as the process of producing a site (interactive feature) – an extension for an excursion in the mobile application. This research is aimed at revealing the possibility of launching transmedia project to increase the user’s amount and app promotion.
