Special Aspects of the Russian-Chinese Trade-Economic Cooperation in the Context of the Western Sanctions Against Russia (2014-2016)

The master thesis is dedicated to comprehensive investigation of special aspects of trade-economic relations between Russia and China in period from 2014 to the end of 2016. The time frame serves to the specific of the research. Since Crimea crisis, then following western economic sanctions, the president of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin announced the concept of “Turn to the East”. Last two years Russia is going through the obstacles of the socio-economic and political reconstruction. The author is also going to clarify the main challenges which facing Russian producers in case of exporting into China, such as not equal standards of production. To addition, there are investigation of mechanisms of modern business in China and some positive experiences. The research doesn’t pay special attention to soft power of China, from our point of view, there are a huge amount of works on the topic in academic space. We concentrate on concrete projects, figures, announcements, speeches. The research covers the number of themes, which are illuminated, speaking about trade-economic cooperation between China and Russia last two years. There are following keynotes: opportunities to attract Chinese capital in Russian economy, legal obstacles for trade-economic cooperation, obstacles for realization cooperation in aligning efforts to build the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and the Silk Road Economic Belt, Russian dominance in the Central Asia region, the boost of Russian non-resource/food export into China last year.
