Theme of dissertation is – Development of Vulnerability Management Module. Keywords: information security, vulnerability, vulnerability management, development, information security standards, vulnerability scanner. The goal of dissertation: development of vulnerability management module that identify known vulnerabilities in operating systems, applications and configuration files. It provides simple scanning policies editing method, capability to plug-in 3rd party or in house vulnerability databases, data visualization capability and report generation. Tasks are solved during process of work: 1. Research and development of vulnerability management process; 2. Analysis of vulnerability management standards and compliance requirements; 3. Analysis of exiting vulnerability management software; 4. Development of vulnerability management module requirements; 5. Development of vulnerability management module that can analyze online assets and offline configuration files; 6. Plugging of 3rd party vulnerability database and it usage during vulnerabilities assessment. The result of dissertation is vulnerability management module. Developed module meets all requirements.
