In this master thesis an attempt to show the relevance of the CEPEJ toolkit on improving quality and efficiency of justice in the following actual areas for Russia is made: 1) organization of the judicial system; 2) quality of justice; 3) judicial timeframes; 4) monitoring of the right to fair trial violations; 5) legal aid, the role of lawyers; 6) enforcement of judicial decisions; 7) alternative dispute resolution.
