The study investigates the problems of accounts receivable accounting and management in commercial enterprises. In the theoretical part, we compared International and Russian Accounting standards for trade accounts receivable, where it was proved that IFRSs provide more reliable information about receivables than RAS. The most effective tools for reduction of accounts receivable amount have been identified: the assessment of debtors’ creditworthiness, a system of discounts, debt restructuring, factoring. As for practical part, a factor analysis of the LLC “Robert Bosch” was carried out, which revealed an inadequate financial condition. We proposed certain recommendations for improvements in the system of trade receivables accounting and management in LLC “Robert Bosch” based on the results of the current system evaluation: introduction of discount rates for trade receivables accounting, the evaluation of debtors based on the methodology developed in this work, the introduction of a detailed report for monitoring of accounts receivable.
