Position of Russian Companies in the International Market of M&A

This paper examines the current state of the global M&A market. Moreover, attempts are made to identify the main motives for integrating companies. The first chapter provides a detailed analysis of global trends in M&A. What is more, examines the theoretical aspects of integration of companies. The second chapter gives an analysis of the process of mergers and acquisitions in the Russian Federation in the post-crisis period, relying on the legal aspects of M&A. The third chapter assesses the structure of Russian companies in the international M&A market in order to determine the domestic companies' motivation for enterance to the international M&A market. In the practical part of this paper, the effectiveness of the M&A transaction of Sberbank DenizBank is evaluated. During the study an autoregressive ARIMA model was built. On the basis of the quantitative analysis, a possible forecast of the dynamics of the exchange rate of the Turkish bank is made and recommendations for further development of Sberbank activity in Turkey are provided.
