Transformation of Youth Suburban Communities: New Forms in Old Districts (in Case of Novogireevo District)

The research aims to compare the folding and functioning of the youth territorial communities of the periphery district at different times: in the 1980s - the Soviet period, and at the present time. The analysis includes daily youth practices in the Soviet and modern periods, the types of their solidarity and the structure of communication. Based on in-depth interviews with representatives of the "older generation" (N = 20) who grew up in the area, as well as interviews with the current youth of the Novogireevo district (N = 20), there is a comparative analysis of everyday practices and leisure activities of young people who lived and lives today at the same area of ​​the city. The research question is: under the influence of which factors are changing or not those or other practices and the form of communities and how urban infrastructure and new technologies change the types of young people interactions>
