In my final work I compare the reception of novel “One Hundred Years of Solitude” by Gabriel Garcia Marquez in the Soviet and Post-Soviet period. The novel of the Colombian writer was first published in the USSR in 1970, therefore it seems important to pay attention to the Soviet reception. Completely the same novel was published only in Post-Soviet Russia in 1996, therefore it was necessary to pay attention to the Post-Soviet period. The purpose of my final work includes: to find out what was the attitude of Soviet and Post-Soviet critics / researchers to the Colombian writer Gabriel Garcia Marquez, how they represented him and how they perceived the novel "One Hundred Years of Solitude".
