Improving Assembly Process in Distributed Warehousing System at the Pilot Production Company

For successful performance in a modern highly competitive environment every company should constantly improve its business operations with the help of suitable tools. The present research will be conducted in the context of the company JSC “UEC-Aviadvigatel” in Perm. The main purpose of this study is to develop ways of improvement the assembly process the organization on the basis of a comprehensive analysis. The assembly process in the company is time consuming, and therefore it needs to be improved. There were used the following methods in the work to achieve the goal: observation of the process, in-depth interview with the deputy chief of the logistics and the assembly master, unstructured interviews with employees, analysis with such tools as Spaghetti chart, Ishikawa diagram, Value Stream Mapping. Moreover, there was Lean Assessment of the assembly process’s current state carried out according to Vader’s approach. In the course of the study there were identified bottlenecks and losses of the assembly process. A program of measures was proposed to eliminate the identified problems.
