The Implications of the United States Presidential Election on the OPEC Policies Author: Sinitsina V. Abstract The final qualifying work is devoted to the analysis of the consequences of the United States Presidential Election, the statements of politicians, actions taken by them on key indicators characterizing the US energy sector and on OPEC as the main player in the oil market. In the research we tried to analyze the peculiarities of pricing in the oil market, examine the dynamics of oil prices, assess the role and position of both OPEC and the US, define the activities of the current and former US presidents, evaluate the statements of two candidates at the presidential race, compare the promised statements of D. Trump and his actions in the energy sector as president of the US. The subjects of the study are the price of WTI, the volume of oil production in the US, oil reserves in the US, the export of oil to the US, the import of oil into the US. The methodology of our research is statistical analysis.
