Year of Graduation: 2017

The importance of timely and full maintenance of equipment is one of the key factors for the successful implementation of the production program. However, many companies, in pursuit of short-term goals to reduce fixed and variable costs, neglect possible losses in the event of a failure to timely repair. In the course of this work, the problem of primacy of short-term benefits over the possible consequences of reducing the costs of services was re-emphasized. In the course of the work, an analysis was made of the efficiency of the use of equipment, which made it possible to identify the most problematic area of production at the enterprise under consideration and develop recommendations based on potential losses related to the consequences of failures. The proposed approach has great potential, but the lack of quantitative and qualitative data makes it difficult to assess the probability and consequences of failures.
