Application of Carrier Choice Methods as a Tool of Improvement of a Transportation Company's Efficiency

Annotation Theme: "Application of Carrier Choice Methods as a Tool of Improvement of a Transportation Company's Efficiency". The volume of the diploma is 92 pages, where 9 tables, 2 figures and 11 attachments are placed. At the writing of the diploma 59 sources were used. Keywords: logistics, transport logistics, logistics intermediary, carrier, cargo transportation, transport. The object of the research: the operating activity of the transport company Baltrailer Ltd. The subject of the research: methods and principles for selecting optimal logistic intermediaries, the main selection criteria and their ranking. The diploma includes an introduction, three chapters, a conclusion, a list of sources used and an application. The introduction reveals the relevance of research on the chosen field; the problem, the purpose and objectives of the research are posed; the object, the subject of scientific research is determined; a hypothesis is stated; the methodological base of the research, its theoretical and practical significance are indicated. In the first chapter, the theoretical aspect of the problem is analyzed in detail. The second chapter gives a general description of the transport company being researched. Also in this chapter, the analysis of the external and internal environment is made, as well as an analysis of the effectiveness of the company. The third chapter describes the application of one of the most effective models for selecting a logistics intermediary directly in practice, in the conditions of the Baltrailer Ltd, the results of the selection are also analyzed, and some recommendations for optimizing the carrier choice process are suggested. The conclusion is devoted to the main deductions on the diploma, as well as to some practical recommendations for optimizing the operating activities of Baltrailer Ltd.
