Patterns of Consumption of Exhibition Space: the Development and Performance

The study focuses on the changing practices of visiting Museum spaces and ways of broadcasting of works of art in a specific Museum space. Because leisure practices (the consumption of art) is often a substitute for mastering the art, it is important to understand is whether the consumption of Museum spaces and works of art it is the perception of art. On the basis of theoretical approach I. Hoffmann, J. Butler on performativity, Br. Latour about the development of art and the creation of performance, analyzing interviews with visitors to exhibitions and shows consumption patterns of the exhibition space and generates a typology of the meanings of visiting classic and multimedia exhibitions. Analyzing the basic theoretical frame of Br. Latour, the author demonstrates how to use this theory to study the performative meanings of museums, however, shows what assumptions will have to do and what theories should take in addition to the core, to achieve best research results. The novelty of the proposed project, firstly, is that the public sphere of the exhibition is understood not only in spatial terms but as a complex platform for performative behavior of the visitors who may like to learn and consume works of art. Secondly, the interviews and observations will be revealed diverse performative meanings museums and the typology of meanings of a visit to the classic museums and multimedia shows.
