The Improvement of the State Competition Policy in Territorial Entity (a Case Study of the Leningrad Region)

The State Competition Policy is one of the most important instruments of market economy formation in Russian regions. In a competitive environment, companies must constantly improve and reduce costs, what leads to economic growth. The research question is how to improve the measures of State Competition Policy and design the most effective model of its implementation in the territorial entities of the Russian Federation. The practical part of the work contains a structural and functional analysis of development of the State Competition Policy institution in the Leningrad region and a regression analysis of the Competition intensity rating and directions of the State Competition Policy improvement. The main idea of the research is designing of the Matrix of System Cooperation of the authorities implementing the State Competition Policy in the territorial entities of the Russian Federation. The results of this study can be applied in regions that demonstrate a low level of the market mechanisms development and implementing a policy of competition development.
