Hedging Devices in Political Discourse (Based on the Speeches of 2016 Presidential Elections)

This master's thesis researches a concept of a hedging. The term hedging and its meaning and classifications will be researched. Also, we will consider the usage of hedging in political discourse and which linguistic devices are used. In chapter 2 we did the analysis of political speeches of the U.S. presidential candidates H. Clinton and D. Trump. We analysed examples of hedging, its devices and frequency of hedging devices usage.
