The System of Linguistic Terms as a Format of Knowledge

The research is devoted to the problem of determining the format of knowledge. The linguistic terms system is considered to be the format of knowledge. The field was modeling by the definitions of the terms from The Introduction to the Linguistics course, which was collected by the ligvocognitive experiment. The aim of the study is to provide the description of a new format of knowledge; to develop analysis methods of the format knowledge content. The main methods of research are following: the lingvocognitive experiment, natural language processing, which was used for quantitative data analysis, and modeling. The research was carried out according to Yu. N. Karaulov Yu. N. Philipovich’ s approach. According to this methodology, the format of knowledge can be described by using five cogneme components. This model can be used to model other subject areas.
