Comprehensive analysis of the factors that have an impact on the regions’ demographics – a question of special importance in the adoption and implementation of demographic policy of the Government. It is important to consider not only the indicators that have a clear impact on the demographic situation, but also to look for indirect causes change in its dynamics. This paper contains a econometric analysis of demographic indicators dependens (birth rate, death rate, infant mortality, life expectancy) on socio-economic and environmental factors. Statistics taken for the year 2015 for the 76 regions of Russia. In addition, the analysis of spatial dependence parameters provided: the calculated values of the global Moran's index for socio-economic, environmental and demographic variables. To visualize the statistical data available in the Appendix of the work contains geographical maps of the Russian regions with the color scale the distribution of values of the indicators. Summarizing the results, we see a relationship between environmental indicators and demographic situation in regions of Russia. An important indicator for demography is the quality of drinking water and household values on a number of indicators. Also, the exceeding of MPC of pollutants in the atmospheric air affects the infant mortality rate. It is important to note that the achievement of stable positive dynamics of demographic indicators is impossible without improving the quality of the environment. Studied data allow to draw a conclusion about the necessity of developing effective measures to reduce the volume of polluted waste waters and their treatment. In addition, it is important to reduce the amount of pollutants emitted into the atmosphere.
