Major Features of Cultural Diplomacy in Contemporary France-Russia Relations

This paper considers the peculiarities of cultural diplomacy in the France-Russia relations at the present stage. The purpose of this study is to identify the features, forms and significance of cultural diplomacy in Franco-Russian relations. In this research paper the main elements of the "soft power" policy were identified both in France and in Russia. In order to determine the main tools of cultural diplomacy at the present stage, an analysis of the history of its instrumentalization was conducted. A substatial part of the work is the analysis of the image of Russia from the French perspective and the image of France among the Russian population.
