Alternative Methods of Liquidity Managemenet in Central Banks’ Monetary Policy

One of the most valuable frameworks of central bank is liquidity management, which is aimed at managing the amount of bank reserves, controlling their price and reaching price stability. However, different central banks use the variety of alternative approaches to this set of instruments, and its contribution to the implementation of monetary policies has not been studied enough. In this study, I present the analysis of an open economy model, which is going to analyze how liquidity facilities’ actions affect internal monetary policies of central banks. The paper examines the matter through conducting stree test, modelling an economy and content analysis of working papers, articles and reports.
