Inventory Record-Keeping System Optimization in the Pilot Production Company

The present research refers to a problem of inventory record-keeping system optimization in the pilot production company. The general purpose of this project is to identify losses associated with the record-keeping system and to develop a number of measures to reduce these losses. The approaches used in this research, such as business process modeling using IDEF0 diagrams and causal analysis, are powerful tools for the issue mentioned. According to results of an inventory record-keeping system analysis of the JSC “ODK-Aviadvigatel”, the specification of the new record-keeping system was developed. The anticipated effect of implementation of this system is the reducing of time losses, associated with the record-keeping system.
