Economic Consequences of Energy Transformation for German Manufacturing Industry

In the paper are investigated the consequences of energy policy to the German manufacturing industry. There are considered the main targets of Energy transformation in the matters of Energy Concept 2050. The study aims at getting deep overview of the main economic changes concerning the following sectors of manufacturing industry: mechanical engineering, automotive industry and chemical industry. It is assumed, that these three sectors even have some benefits from the turn to renewables in their energy mix, despite the significant rise of energy costs. In the final part are examined the further development scenarios of energy transition to renewables and the prospect for German economy and manufacturing industry.
