There is currently growing concern for the energy generating companies` efficiency as energy is the main incentive to overall economic and social development of every country. As an element of economic infrastructure, energy represents the development basis of overall economic growth. Moreover, energy generation is an autonomous economic sector playing an important role in the macroeconomic overview of a country and has a decisive effect on the quality of life and the living standard. Therefore, the main problems in the field of energy sector efficiency have a global impact on economic and social development areas. At present, energy efficiency has climbed to the top of the Russian political agenda since Russia has a huge energy-efficiency potential, both in reducing energy cost and in improving the environment. Nevertheless, energy efficiency potential in Russia is not fully realized. This problem is of substantial significance and has become a hot issue in scholarly debates, however, several theoretical tasks are left unaccomplished. To solve the problem stated above this research is going to be conducted.
