Assessment of Impact of Sanctions and Trade Embargo on the Meat Market of the Russian Federation

This research work is devoted to influence of economic sanctions and trade embargo on the meat market in the Russian Federation. The author has considered concepts and types of sanctions, various interpretations of domestic and foreign scientists, significant examples of sanctions in the history and their impact on an economic situation in the country. According to the offered classification, the author has considered the concrete types of sanctions, which was applied against the Russian Federation in 2014, some of them have been applied for the first time. For a quantitative assessment of sanctions influence, the author has made the regression analysis on the example of meat market: pork, beef and fowl. Results of this regression analysis have suggested that sanctions wars have exerted positive impact on domestic manufacturers of meat. The theoretical and practical importance of the conducted research consists in possibility of using basic provisions and conclusions for the further analysis, not only the market of meat, but also other branches.
