Indoor navigation has many applications in the modern world that is why a few indoor navigation applications has been developed to this point. The problem of the existing indoor navigation applications is that they work with Android and iOS devices only. There are more than 30 million Windows Phone devices that can’t run the existing indoor navigation applications. The goal of this work is to develop an indoor navigation application for the Windows Phone platform. The resulting application must enable the user of the mobile device to easily get directions to a desired place on the map. As the result of this work an indoor navigation application for the Windows Phone platform was developed. The application utilizes the iBeacon technology to determine the user’s current location. In order to retrieve the required data, the application communicates with a web service developed by other students under the supervision of Y.V. Zontov.
