Freedom of Entrepreneurship with Reference to the Government Control (Supervision) in the Russian Federation

Student: Lubskaia Kristina

Supervisor: Irina Maskaeva

Faculty: School of Law

Educational Programme: Jurisprudence (Bachelor)

Year of Graduation: 2017

Everybody knows that economic freedom leads to higher income levels and living standards, but what is the mechanism? The purpose of my work is to make an empirical study on the impact of state control on economic freedom, and subsequently at the country levels of entrepreneurship. The concept of economic freedom has been much explored in some areas of macroeconomics research, but there are only a few studies of its effect on entrepreneurship. My primary focus is to analyze how the legislator understands, maintains and implements the concept of freedom of entrepreneurial activity in practice. A key finding of my work, in my opinion, is the importance of the ‘rules of the game’ for entrepreneurship.
