Educational Programme: Cultural Studies (Bachelor)

Year of Graduation: 2017

The Uniform study is a part of huge process of fashion and the history of the formation of large institutions. I aim to establish the influence that uniform has on the body and the social role, as well as the many diverse aspects of the existence of uniforms in everyday life. The uniform not only sets and implements the vestimentary codes, but is itself a disciplining practice, representing roles and positions in various hierarchies. The object of my research is uniform in the context of fashion and discipline, as well as the revision of uniform styles in modern sports equipment. The subject of my research is two specific cases: the form of the Russian national team in Sochi, Russia (2014) and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (2016).
