Production Logistics Improvement Using Theory of Constraints

The goal of the final qualifying work is to study the concept of the Theory of Constraints, its principles and tools with the aim of improving the logistics of the in-house processes and solving a number of problems in the plywood producer Playterra company, as well as analyzing the impact of decisions made on the overall performance of the company. The work consists of 84 pages of the main text, 29 figures and 13 tables. The object of research is the plant of the company "Playterra" located in the urban settlement of Umet of the Republic of Mordovia. The subject of the study are the material flows passing through the plant, the logistics inside the production and the production process of manufacturing the products. Problems solved in this paper: 1. An actual analysis of the economic activity of "Payterra" 2. The literature of domestic and foreign sources devoted to the study of the "Theory of Constraints" has been analyzed. Based on the theoretical base obtained from the analysis, an approach was proposed to use the "Theory of Constraints" to improve the logistics of the production of "Payterra". 3. An approach to improving the logistics of the production of the company "Playterra" has been formed and economically justified. This study is completed, independently performed qualification work, which contains proposals for the development of logistics services in the company.
