Political Talk Shows on Russian Television: Theme, Methods of Realization and the Role of the Host

The purpose of this research is the analysis of political talk shows on the Russian television, their methods of a realization, the identification of a theme and a role of the TV hosts. The programs "Time will show" on the First channel, "60 minutes" on the channel Russia-1, "The right to know!" and "The right to vote" on the TVC channel, "Meeting place" on the NTV channel form the empirical base. The method of comparative analysis is used in this research. The purpose of this method is to demonstrate the difference of the methods of the realization of programs and the archetypes of the TV hosts on the central channels of Russian television. It is expected that this work will demonstrate specific aspects of the methods of realization of political talk show in conditions of information war.
