The Western Aesthetic Principles in Modern Chinese Painting

The paper presents a study of western influence on contemporary Chinese painting and western principles, which are commonly used by the most famous modern Chinese artists. The work focuses on identification and typology of borrowing western painting methods by Chinese artists and its reasons. The aim of the work is to identify Western artistic and aesthetic forms in contemporary fine art of China, typology of Western borrowed forms, and study of the causes and purposes of reception. In order to analyze the modern Chinese art will be used combination of three different methods of art analysis. This paper is expected to prove that the internationalization of Chinese art is carried out with the aim of strengthening China's cultural presence in the international arena and gaining leverage. The paper includes 73 pages, it contains 62 paintings, 1 table, 71 references . The work includes an introduction, two chapters, a conclusion, an appendix, and references. The introduction sets the purpose of the work, its relevance, as well as a number of tasks that must be solved to achieve the goal. The first chapter is devoted to socio-cultural conditions and a general characteristic of the reception of Western artistic forms in contemporary Chinese painting. The second chapter describes the typologization of Western artistic techniques used in modern Chinese painting, separately considered instrumental, visual-aesthetic and ideological-spiritual type. The conclusion describes the main results obtained in the course of the work. Old forms and masterpieces acquire new meanings in the canvases of contemporary Chinese artists, thereby contributing to the new culture and painting of postmodernism to which they belong.
