Summary of the Master’s dissertation of Popova Adolat Kayumovna (group 161 MPOUP) on thetheme: "Legal Regulation of Social Security in the Russian Federation and the Republic of Uzbekistan: Comparative Analysis and Prospects of Bilateral Coordination" In this paper, we consider the system of legal regulation of social security in the Russian Federation and the Republic of Uzbekistan and conduct a comparative analysis of the types of social security in these two countries. The aims of the researchare to develop an innovative, scientific approach to solving social problems in the Russian Federation and the Republic of Uzbekistan, to develop proposals for improving cooperation between them, to identify the general and the specific in the current legislations of the two countries, and to develop recommendations for improving their social security systems. The scientific novelty lies in the development of a scientific approach to determining the legal nature of social security in the two countries. The research conducted establishes that the sizes of many pensions and allowances do not meet the needs of citizens — social assistance does not cover all the needy categories of citizens. The analysis makes it possible to formulate the author's definition of the concept of "social security". It also makes it possible to classify international acts on social security and agreements between CIS countries on the same, to develop proposals for improving the system of pensions, benefits, and social services for vulnerable groups in the Russian Federation and the Republic of Uzbekistan, and to develop proposals for the social protection of foreign citizens in the former.
