Legal Status of the Head of the Municipality in the Structure of Local Self-Government Bodies (Problems of Interaction)

The work is devoted to the study of the legal status of the head of the municipality in the structure of local self-government bodies. Based on the analysis of legal acts and judicial practice, the peculiarities of the legal status of the head of the municipal formation were determined, the forms of interaction between the head of the municipal formation and other local government bodies were analyzed, and also the trends of the legal status of the head of the municipality at the present stage The study showed that the current legal regulation of the status of the head of the municipality creates the conditions for ensuring the dependence of local self-government bodies on public authorities, contrary to the principles proclaimed by the Constitution of the Russian Federation and the European Charter of Local Self-Government.
