The Phenomenon of Video Bloggers in the Context of Influence on Audience

In the master thesis characteristics of "videoblogging" and stages of development of this phenomenon in Russia are defined. The research includes the analysis of data on video bloggers having audience there are more than one million people, genre classification of their content, definition of the main metrics for the analysis of the involvement of audience into content of video bloggers. Besides, in this work an attempt to estimate indirect influence of video bloggers on audience by means of advertizing integration at videos by bloggers is made and the main ways of monetization of content of video bloggers are considered. By empirical way it is proved that the videoblogging phenomenon the perspective direction as from the point of view of business and development of partnership with advertisers, and concerning "media" aspect of video bloggers whose phenomenon of success allows to cover new platforms and to attract more audience.
