Within the framework of this research, the problem of the necessity of pharmaceutical companies to adapt the strategy of interaction with public authorities was developed to create a stable, effective and predictable system of relations in the conditions of imperfect regulatory policy and transformation of the legislative environment in the pharmaceutical industry of modern Russia. This work was designed to answer the question of what characteristics are predominant of the prevailing strategies of interaction between pharmaceutical companies and state authorities in the regulatory policy in modern Russia. In the course of the study, with usage of case study methods and stakeholder analysis, it was proved that the strategy of the pharmaceutical company is perceived as practicing in the current system of institutional norms. In this sphere, the agent must constantly take into account the behavior of his counterparty, that is, in our case, the regulatory body, in order to achieve maximum efficiency of its activities. In addition, regulatory and information monitoring pointed to the specifics of decision-making in the field of pharmaceuticals in Russia, consisting in the specific characteristics of law-making and informal practices.
