Network Analysis of Terrorist Groups' interactions (2001-2016)
Political Science
(Bachelor’s programme)
2018
In this work, we provided a network analysis of terrorist groups' interactions during 2001-2016. We built a worldwide network of terrorist groups and calculated influence indices taking into account the dynamics of groups' activity. New indices of influence were applied – Short-Range and Long-Range Interactions Centralities, which take into account direct and indirect influence (via intermediaries), as well as individual characteristics of groups.
