The legal organization of the settlement system in the Russian Federation is analyzed in this research.The conclusions made in the work allow to critically evaluate the existing organization of the settlement system in the Russian Federation, consider the possibility of introducing other alternative ways of regulating the existing relations, and also to facilitate the simplification of commercial turnover in the economic life of the society.
