As a result of the research, it was possible to identify the main genres of documentary films and deconstruct them using the example of popular festival films. Problem-publicistic style, it originates from such paintings as: "Shinov and others", "There, the mountains, the horizon," "Without legends." The portrait television film is based on artistic portraits, since it is they that allow us to emphasize the main features of the object with its features. Comparing these two main genres, we can distinguish 3 main pillars in the creation of a documentary film, namely: "screen image", "object" and "subject", which throughout the history of development have constantly changed places, and have undergone numerous changes. In addition to becoming and developing, documentary cinema, like any other genre or other art form has undergone a fall and creative crisis of existence. As an example, we can cite a censorship policy, which simply did not allow documentary tapes to be rented. In the second chapter, the features of web cinema were studied and the main research methods (survey) were described. As a result, we managed to find out that the audience is no longer just the recipient of the message, since it plays the role of one of the characters. By including interactive, she can at any time become co-authors, citizens, activists, teachers, students, employees, fans and so on. Interactive features help to capture some data about the audience by viewing the pages and time spent on a particular website, but this is not a complete portrait of what actually happens to the audience. As a result of the survey it was possible to find out that more than 82% watch documentaries and are interested in it. Also more than 35 percent would like to see the film after interacting with the interactive site. Thus, the hypothesis put forward has been confirmed, and it can be argued that such interactive techniques help attract new audiences to its involvement in documentary films.
