The Impact of Membership in Integration Associations on the Exports of Non-Ferrous Metals from the Countries of EAEU, the USA and Chile

The study is devoted to the impact of participation in integration processes on the national exports of products of non-ferrous metallurgy. It includes the review of the existing theories of economic integration and the analysis of theoretical aspects of international economic integration. Also, the key features of export activity and measures of state support of exports are considered in the first part of the work. The second part of the study contains the empirical research of research based on both quantitative and qualitative analysis. It includes econometric research of impact of participation of the country in integration associations on the volume of its commodity exports and competitiveness of its national economy on the whole. In addition, processes of economic integration within NAFTA, MERCOSUR and Eurasian economic union (EAEU) are analyzed, and basing on these examples the best practices and crucial problems are identified. In the final part of the work, the analysis of the world market of non-ferrous metals in combination with the review of actual state of the industry of non-ferrous metallurgy in Russia is conducted. Also the key features of trade in non-ferrous metals within NAFTA, MERCOSUR and EAEU are considered. Basing on the results of this comprehensive research several proposals on stimulation of exports of products of Russian non-ferrous metallurgy, taking into account its participation in the EAEU, are formulated.
